1. The aldgatebaptist.org.au web site is committed to protecting
your privacy and utilizing technology that gives you a safe online experience.
2. aldgatebaptist.org.au is a general audience web site, intended for users of all ages.
3. Personal user information is never collected from those who are browsing the site except explicitly and with the user's full knowledge. In situations where user information is collected, it is only used for internal church purposes, and is never sold, traded, or transferred to any other organization or business. If, after submitting personal information to aldgatebaptist.org.au, you wish to withdraw that information, simply indicate your desire to the church office at 08 8339 1243 or via e-mail to office@aldgatebaptist.org.au.
4. At times we may provide a link or links to third party web sites that are independently managed and controlled. When we provide such a link, we will make it clear that the link is to
a third party site. Although we are providing such a link, we are not conferring any endorsement of the contents of that site or of the protection to your personal information they may collect. You should refer to the linked site's privacy policy to understand how they might collect or use your personal information.
5. There are two areas that are available for access at aldgatebaptist.org.au: a public area and a restricted area.
A. Member names, biographic or contact information are not provided or disclosed in the public areas, except as might be required to provide a family name(s) for a specific church event. For example, a class might be advertised as meeting at the home of Tim Jones or taught by Sally Smith. However, contact information
will always be provided through the church office, and never through the public area of the web site. For example, a Home Fellowship Greoup meeting listing might indicate "HFG meeting at the home of Tim Jones, contact
the church office for location details." Members hosting a
church event but who want to remain anonymous on the web site should
contact the church office with this request at 08 8339 1243 or via
e-mail to office@aldgatebaptist.org.au.
B. A restricted area of the web site will be available
via a password or passwords to be distributed to church members
and regular attendees. This area will contain names and contact
information for members and regular attendees.
The nature of password protected data is that it
is only as secure as the password or passwords that restrict access
to it. There are two ways the information can be exposed to those
outside our congregation: 1) the password is disclosed or published
by someone who knows it (e.g., a member) or 2) someone breaches
the system and gets the password needed to access the protected
information.
Though it is unlikely, you should be aware that there
is potential that your directory/contact information can be accessed
by people for whom this information is not intended. Those listed
can request that their contact information be withdrawn from such
publication by contacting the church office at 08 8339 1243 or via
e-mail to office@aldgatebaptist.org.au.
